Question: What normally follows two days of rain?
..
Answer: Monday.
People Moan and Grown about it, but we can’t live without water!
Water is absolutely essential to every form of life. Every living cell of both plants and animals depends on water.
We have about five litres of blood in the blood vessels of our body. Water makes up about three litres of the blood fluid.
Of every ten pounds of our weight, about seven pounds are water.
Without water to drink, we would die in a short time.
Although the Bible is not a science book, the descriptions referring to scientific processes are accurate.
Take, for example, the hydrological cycle. Rain or snow falls to the ground and runs off into streams, which run into rivers, which run into the sea. Water evaporates from the surface of the ocean and returns to the clouds, where it becomes rain and snow and falls to the ground again. The hydrological cycle is a discovery of modern times, but the Bible speaks of it in Isaiah 55:10
Isaiah 55:10 (NKJV)
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
Job 36:26–28 (NKJV)
“Behold, God is great, and we do not know Him; nor can the number of His years be discovered. For He draws up drops of water, which distill as rain from the mist, which the clouds drop down and pour abundantly on man.
The recurring cycle of rains and crops is abundant proof that God, who has created all things, upholds what he has made.
Acts 14:15–17 (NKJV)
“you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, who in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
ALL CREATION CALLS US TO WORSHIP AND SURRENDER TO HIS CARE
We love sunshine
Together with the rain, they make life possible.
They are God’s Gracious Gifts:
Matthew 5:45 (NKJV)
for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Gifts, which like the gift of His Son, reveal to us our need to repent and believe the Gospel.
Don’t give in to complaining about the rain, remember it’s function, be thankful, recognize God’s goodness and live!
Acts 17:30–31 (NKJV)
Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
