Book Table and New Banner.

Book Table With A New Banner

We had a profitable afternoon, lots of literature was taken and a few even stopped to talk.

Said one man, repeating the empty mantra of a generation taken in by lies about man just being another animal, born to die and sink into oblivion.

Jesus told of one such person, consumed with the empty pleasures of time, and concluded by calling him a ‘fool’, an insult from the lips of anyone else, but a sombre warning from the one who rose from the dead to prove there is life beyond this life.

Luke’s Gospel Chapter 12 tells of ‘The Rich Fool’, verses 19 and 20 puncture the delusion that your existence ends when life here ends:

19 I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.”’
20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’

The unique and special creation of God, man differs from animals, he will live forever, while the animal world lives but once.

Jesus speaks of the distinction when He exhorts His followers to have no fear of death because it’s not the end of existence.

Matthew Chapter 10 and verse 28

28 do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The master stroke of man’s sworn enemy began by denying the reality of hell and then that there is life beyond natural death.

The Bible is the revelation of God’s love to fallen man, the light for his feet, lamp for his path, a map that directs you away from hell and destruction to eternal life in communion and fellowship with God.

God is holy and you are not, your sin is a dead weight that will drag you down into eternal torment, the holy God warns and calls you to change direction, abandon the lie that ‘when you’re dead you’re dead’ and flee to Jesus Christ for salvation.

Hebrews chapter 9 and verses 27 and 28

27 As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.

There’s only one way to be prepared for the  judgement that’s coming, embrace Jesus Christ as your Substitute and Saviour.

Tragically, the vast majority of modern people drift through life without hearing the Good News, make sure you don’t remain among them,

believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts chapter 16 verse 31
