Sunday the 19th of July 2009, was the date for the first of a series of six meetings in the Gladstone and Falsgrave Community Centre, at the west side of Sainsbury’s Supermarket.
27 people gathered at 3:30 pm to hear the Rev. David Magowan of Whitby Evangelical Church preach the Gospel from 1st Peter chapter 3 and verse 18:
18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
We thank God for the opportunity and interest and look forward to exploring His will for another Evangelical testimony in Scarborough.

On Sunday the 26th of July 09 we once again had the priviledge of preaching the Gospel to a group of around 20 people. Pastor William Horsburgh spoke from Acts chapter 13 on the work of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sins through faith in him.
Acts chapter 13 verses 38 and 39:
Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Sunday 2nd of August saw us back in the community centre where Laurence Jones preached from John’s Gospel chapter 1 verse 29:
“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Laurence at the lecturn before the meeting began.
Around 20 people joined us and these included a lady who’d had a card through her door, and another who’d read the article in the local newspaper!
We continue to pray that the Lord would allow us to be involved in calling out His sheep, bringing together a company who might lift up His Gospel in and to the town of Scarborough.
